Dr Weisz will deliver two mini-lectures at the Jewish Holocaust Centre - the first to the wider public and the second for medical professionals, to which the general public is welcome.
7:30 pm – 8:20 pm: Mini-Lecture for the General Public
Medical Issues during the Holocaust.
This two-fold presentation will focus on the legacy of medical discoveries in the ghettos and the implications of starvation and pregnancy during the Holocaust.
It will have particular relevance to Child Survivors.

8:30 pm – 9:30 pm: Mini-Lecture for Medical Professionals:
Medical fraud as pretext for Kristallnacht.
Dr George Weisz obtained his MD at the Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem and trained as orthopaedic surgeon in Israel, US and Canada. Currently he practices in Sydney as an orthopaedic surgeon where he has resided since 1975.
Dr Weisz obtained a BA in European History at UNSW and MA in Italian Renaissance at Sydney University. He is interested in Medical history, involved in giving presentations and has published on Art History, and Medicine in the Shoah.
